Chicken Milanese
If you're anything like me and like a good crispy fried piece of zesty chicken then this recipe has your name written all over it! It's hard to find a good chicken Milanese close to where I live so if you find yourself in the same dilemma then this recipe will save you lots of time, money, and a bit of it's never a bad thing to figure out how to do something for yourself because you can ALWAYS customize it to your own liking and that is the true essence of cooking. chicken breasts
2-3 cups toasted and ground bread crumbs
1 small bunch of basil, oregano, and rosemary
2 cups all purpose flour
1 whole egg
1 cup whole milk
salt and black Pepper to taste
2 handfuls of arugula or preferred butter greens
1/4 sliced red onion
1 sliced jalapeno
olive oil, salt, black pepper, roasted lemon squeeze
1/4 cup canola oil for frying

    That would be a good melt, throw that on some chibbata bread, ass some swiss cheese and add like a lemon garlic honey mustard sauce and bacon. Throw that on a panini press!👌🏻

    Just made this for the first time. Flavors were great! However I will pound the breasts thinner next time, I left them a bit too thick and got scared they weren't cooking through 🤦‍♀️

    Heya Byron! I love your videos and they always make me hungry! Just to let you know, when milanesas are done cooking you put a paper on both sides so the drops of grease can dry. I’m from Argentina and I cook milanesas all the time, but just a little tip! Lovely video, so good.

    Well, not many people know, but here in Mexico this is a really common meal. We make it from chicken, pork, fish and beef, and it's very very popular in all mexican restaurants. Beef and fish milanesas are my favourite.

      It intensifies the sugars and lessens the astringency (sourness/acid) and gives another dimension of flavor to the common lemon. All personal preference, but trying knew ways of enjoying the same ingredient always reminds me of why I liked it to begin with. Hope this helps

    I watched this while downing a milanesa sándwich. Soo good. Milanesa is Argentina's most popular and loved food if you ask me. We have it "A la pizza" with tomato sauce and cheese on top, "Napolitana" with ham, cheese and tomato slices, "Four cheeses". The possibilities are endless!!

      Deep frying is a great way to do it, but requires a bit more of a cooking operation than you’d might like or need. Sounds like you need to turn up the heat a bit on your stove and maybe add a dash more oil.

    🤤 That looks delicious, Byron. Couldn't help but notice how you didn't get any seeds in the greens when you squeezed the grilled lemon. I know it sounds insignificant and you probably removed them prior to grilling, just something I picked up on. Haha

    I make this for my kids all the time. My family makes it with beef. But, like you said I prefer the chicken, it's more lean. We're Mexican. I am starting think this is a Latin American dish , just from reading all the comments.
